Mesilinka

[Mesəlingah]

The word Mesilinka is derived from the Tsek’ene place name Mesəlingah, representing the Mesilinka River in Tsay Keh Dene country. Mesəlingah translates as ‘it is flowing out’ or ‘two rivers meet’, often referred to simply as the stranger.

About Us

Mesilinka Media Group is a dynamic collective of artists originating from British Columbia, Canada. What began as a collaboration between three friends has evolved into a small, yet versatile production company. We specialize in crafting unique projects from scratch to completion, with expertise spanning writing, directing, producing, cinematography, editing, media management, and archival solutions.

The following principles guide our dedication:

Film Production

We are dedicated to amplifying the voices of First Nations through film, which serves as a powerful vehicle for storytelling, enabling indigenous peoples to share their narratives with a broader audience.

Establishing Secure and Accessible Archives

We recognize the importance of safeguarding media assets for First Nations clients. To this end, we have developed a dedicated online platform designed to provide a safe and secure environment for the management of all media assets. Our archive ensures that valuable cultural content is preserved for future generations.

Mentoring Emerging First Nations Talent
